Voice Coaching

Singing lessons & speech training

Your voice is part of your body. It responds to breath, movement, coordination, habit, emotion, attention and the way you use it over time.

Voice Coaching at SAMYADA begins with the natural physiological function of the voice. We can work on technique without trying to produce one particular kind of sound. A healthy and reliable technique can give you more possibilities while allowing your individual voice to remain your own.

SINGING

You may want to learn to sing, develop a voice you already use, return to singing after a long time, prepare for performance or simply understand your instrument better.

Singing lessons can include breath and vocal coordination, resonance, range, registers, articulation, dynamics, interpretation and the relationship between voice, body and mind. We can work with songs as well as exercises, and with musical and expressive questions alongside technique.

You do not need to arrive sounding a certain way. The aim is not to fit every voice into the same model, but to understand how your voice functions and develop what is possible within it.

SPEAKING

The speaking voice is something many of us use for hours every day without ever having learned much about how it works.

Speech Training can be useful when you want your voice to carry more easily, speak with greater clarity, develop presence, prepare for presentations or performance, or find a way of speaking that feels less effortful and more connected to you.

We can work with breath, vocal function, articulation, resonance, pace, volume, physical presence and the relationship between what you want to communicate and how your voice carries it.

Technique and individuality

Technique and individuality do not have to compete.

Learning how the voice works can create more choice: when to use more or less volume, how to move through different parts of your range, how to respond when the voice feels tired, how to change a habitual pattern, or how to use the voice differently without forcing it.

The work is therefore not only about producing a “better” sound. It is about developing a voice that can do more while remaining connected to the person using it.

Who is it for?

Voice Coaching can begin at different points.

You might be completely new to singing, already sing professionally, use your speaking voice extensively for work, be preparing for a performance or presentation, or simply be curious about your voice.

The starting point and the work do not need to be the same for everyone.

There is no need for any prior knowledge or experience.
