MOVEMENT PRACTICES
Movement at SAMYADA can mean training, getting to know your body, exploring art & performance, or being part of a therapeutic process
SAMYADA's movement work brings together a background in dance & theatre with body awareness and therapeutic movement. The form and format changes depending on why we are moving.
Moving does not have to look one particular way.
Bodies are different. Experience is different. What feels easy, difficult, familiar or unfamiliar is different.
Some movement work can be technically precise. We can learn sequences, develop coordination, work with rhythm, space, dynamics or choreography.
At other times there is no movement to reproduce correctly. Attention shifts towards sensing, responding and discovering how your own body wants or is able to move.
Both can belong here.
Working through the body can make something noticeable that thinking about it alone does not.
SAMYADA MOVEMENT PRACTICES CAN BE PART OF:
1:1 work · classes · groups · workshops · programmes · retreats
Specific formats and current offerings change over time.
