The initial focus of the research would be to detect abnormalities commonly seen in individuals working in the Information Technology (IT) area.
Role of Homoeopathic medicines in providing preventive care
Principal Investigator: Dr. Manoj BHMSHomoeopathic medicines treat the symptoms and not the disease itself. It is in this context that homoeopathic medicines have a potential for providing preventive care. The initial scope of the research would be to quantify the effectiveness of the medicines against some of the locally found viral infections.
Effect of Yoga on Hypertensive and Highly Stressed Individuals
Principal Investigator: Dr. Lakshmi BNYSThe goal of the study is to quantify the effect of yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation on hypertensive and stressed out individuals. The results from the study will be useful to prescribe the type of asanas, the number of repetitions, the sequence of movements and the duration of exercise that could help alleviate hypertension and stress among individuals.
Dietary Interventions in Preventive Care
Principal Investigator: Aswathy Msc Food & NutritionThe study is planned with the following objectives:
- Assessing the importance of diet therapy in preventive care
- ADL analysis and its significance in enhancing the overall health and fitness of the subjects
- Nutritional assessment and dietary modifications of the subjects
- Food list and Grocery list-Importance in present context and determining whether it can make significant changes in the overall health of the samples
